Here's a series of personal altars I've been working on at home. These altars include found objects, gifts, castoffs, old things, memories recycled, the detritus of the twentieth century, war, love, chance, moral systems, beauty, loneliness, cosmetics, jewelry, all the burdens and graces of being a woman in these times. They're all about love, death, home, family, pain, pleasure, seeing my light, listening to my darkness, knowing that I am all the parts and that the sum of the parts is less than the whole.

The goddess is in the house, and so is the fool. I hope they say something to you.

The other altars in the series are:
•  the death/ancestors/Crone altar;
•  the Hestia altar;
•  the central altar;

This is a series in progress. You might also want to look at my tarot deck, the vee-deck. It expresses a lot of the same things. In fact, I think of the cards as a series of mini-altars. Check 'em out.
