• A key member of the Paquito D'Rivera Quintet, whose "Live at the Blue Note" won the 2001 Latin GrammyAward for Best Latin Jazz Album, Mark is used to playing with the best. He has toured with Oregon since 1996 and Paquito D'Rivera since 1989. He's also featured on Oregon's Grammy-nominated double CD "Oregon in Moscow," with Ralph Towner, Glen Moore and Paul McCandless plus orchestra . He also played on Oregon's Northwest Passage, winner of the 1998 INDIE award (contemporary Jazz category), toured Europe and the United States with the group, and recorded in Moscow in July 1999.

• Mark also freelances in the New York area, gigging at such venues as Birdland and the Blue Note. Since 1989 he has participated in a variety of projects with Paquito D'Rivera, touring extensively with his quintet, sextet, and big band and recording several albums. He appears on many of D'Rivera's recordings, including the Grammy award winning Portraits of Cuba and the Grammy nominated albums Live at MCG and Tropicana Nights. He has also toured extensively and recorded with Lyle Mays, Michel Camilo, the Caribbean Jazz Project, Dave Samuels, Andy Narell, Linda Eder and many others.
